Our Charlotte, NC office is looking for a Survey Technician who embodies this purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Deed Plotting
  • Preparation and set-up of survey data for field crews
  • Post survey field data analysis
  • Construction Layout Calculations
  • Grade Sheet Computation
  • Boundary Survey Resolution
  • ALTA/ASCM Land Title Survey Preparation
  • Topographic/Volume Analysis
  • Construction As-built Surveys and/or Layout Sketches
  • Preparation of Metes & Bounds Descriptions
  • Project Datum Conversion/Transformation
  • Coordination with CAD personnel
  • Assisting Project Surveyor with obtaining necessary data to complete survey
  • Overnight travel may be required
  • Must have flexibility in daily schedule start times, particularly early mornings
  • Will assist and work directly with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers
  • Strong knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Proficient in learning new software and technologies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • College education or a Bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
  • Strong technical background
  • Ability to meet project deadlines within given budget limits and time frames
  • Ability and focus on Quality Control/Quality Assurance
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as team members
  • Desire to succeed and excel in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to lift over 50lbs
  • Reliable transportation is required when company provided vehicles are not available and employees must maintain a valid driver’s license to use company provided vehicles
  • Employees are reimbursed according to applicable IRS regulations when using their personal vehicle on job related assignments
  • Two years’ experience in AutoCAD LDD AutoCAD LDD 2009, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, or equivalent CAD program
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering and construction industry
