Bohler is hiring a Director of Market Sector Development, Program Retail, a national leadership opportunity focused on retail business development, programmatic delivery strategy, and multi-site client growth. We're seeking a visionary, results-driven leader to expand our presence in the retail land development and site design space by building scalable, repeatable programs across key markets.
In this high-impact role, you’ll lead strategic pursuits, identify high-potential clients, and collaborate across business development, marketing, and operations to drive long-term account growth. What You’ll Do
- Lead a national strategy for converting emerging retail clients into programmatic accounts, increasing repeat revenue, client retention, and long-term growth.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, and Operations to build and execute targeted pursuit plans.
- Maintain and refine a pipeline of active pursuits, using data insights to inform client targeting and decision-making.
- Partner with regional and technical leaders to ensure early-stage projects build trust and lead to scalable, repeatable work.
- Establish consistent standards and internal playbooks for how program work is delivered and communicated across teams.
- Monitor sector trends, rollout activity, and competitive shifts to inform positioning and strategy.
- Support the development of go-to-market messaging, sector-specific collateral, and client-facing materials in partnership with Marketing.
- Represent Bohler at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to expand our presence and uncover new leads.
- Coordinate with account managers and project teams to ensure seamless handoffs and strong client delivery as relationships scale.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in client management or strategy, business development, consulting in land development, AEC, or commercial real estate / development or construction management.
- Experience working for or supporting national commercial retailers.
- Proven success in building and growing multi-site or programmatic client relationships.
- Deep understanding of retail development trends and how national brands scale real estate portfolios.
- Knowledge of how delivery operations impact client satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Confident communicator and relationship builder with the ability to align cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working with senior decision-makers and representing the firm externally.
- Ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
