Overview

At Bohler, we know that our future begins on campus. The students we meet today become engineers, leaders, and innovators who will shape our communities for years to come.

As our Manager of Early Talent & University Relations, you’ll lead Bohler’s national university engagement and early-career recruitment efforts, building deep, strategic partnerships with colleges, student organizations, and academic programs across the country. You’ll be at the forefront of identifying emerging talent, creating meaningful touchpoints with students, and guiding them from their first career conversation through to full-time success.

This role is all about the connection between students and opportunity, between education and experience, and between campus and career.   While relocation will not be required to be considered for this role, strong preference will be given to those candidates within close proximity of our Herndon, VA or Chalfont, PA offices.  Regular travel (approximately 50%) to other Bohler locations or college campuses should be expected, with some overnight.

What You’ll Do :

Champion University Relationships

  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with key universities, engineering departments, student groups, and career services offices.
  • Represent Bohler on campus through career fairs, classroom visits, panels, and info sessions—positioning us as an employer of choice among engineering students.
  • Design and execute outreach plans that align with each division’s hiring needs and university partnership opportunities.

Lead Early-Career Recruitment

  • Drive high-volume recruitment of interns and entry-level professionals across 35+ Bohler offices.
  • Partner with hiring managers, alumni, and senior leaders to create high-impact campus recruiting teams.
  • Use platforms like Handshake, Yello, iCIMS, and Gem to connect with students and manage candidate pipelines.
  • Promote a consistent, inclusive, and high-touch candidate experience—from first introduction through onboarding.

Own the Internship Program

  • Oversee Bohler’s summer internship program—from planning and hiring through onboarding, experience design, and end-of-program conversion.
  • Ensure interns have a meaningful experience that includes exposure to real work, skill-building, mentorship, and feedback.
  • Collaborate with Talent Development and HR to align internship programming with early-career pathways.

Develop Talent, Lead a Team

  • Manage and mentor a small team dedicated to university and early-career recruitment.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and mission-driven culture focused on impact and growth.
  • Coach hiring teams on how to engage students, conduct inclusive interviews, and convert top interns to full-time hires.

Measure and Maximize Impact

  • Track and report on key metrics like school performance, intern conversion, offer acceptance, and early-career retention.
  • Use data to identify where our efforts are working—and where we can improve outreach, engagement, and experiences.
  • Manage the early talent budget, prioritize high-impact partnerships, and ensure efficient use of recruiting tools and resources.
