Our Pittsburgh, PA office is looking for a Business Development Manager who embodies this purpose. We partner with our clients to help them achieve their loftiest goals. We are looking for a Business Development professional with strong ties to the greater Pittsburgh Metro community to help us drive success – supporting our efforts of providing an unrivaled experience.
What You’ll Do:
As our Business Development Manager for our Pittsburgh office, you will:
- Partner with the Pittsburgh leadership team on business development strategy and action plans
- Conduct market research and present findings to Leadership for evaluation of probable investment
- Identify and develop/nurture relationships with existing and potential clients, associations, and business networks in an effort to expand Bohler’s market share and brand awareness
- Meet with existing vendors, sub-consultants, and business partners for lead generation
- Collaborate with our Project Managers and branch Leadership to provide recommendations for expanding and executing on opportunities and leads
- Collaborate with Project Managers and the Marketing Business Partner on preparation of successful RFP submissions and contracts
- Proactively capture and maintain all CRM data and follow-ups accordingly
- Partner with the Marketing Business Partner on thoughtfully curated marketing initiatives based on identified target lists
- Help drive established sales goals and metrics
- Research industry and networking events and coordinate attendance; evaluate and share feedback
- Partner with Project Managers to curate project sites and track accordingly
- Practice continual emersion and learning of the land development industry and life-cycle to better support the business
- Serve as a resource and mentor for staff in Business Development best practices, enforcing the importance of consistency
- Assist our Talent Acquisition team in candidate attraction efforts
- Collaborate and support firmwide business development initiatives as it relates to national events, program clients, and general business growth

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's or Masters’ Degree in Civil Engineering, Business, or related field and/or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of business development or related experience in land development
- Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint a plus, or demonstrable experience managing with data entry, reports and other tasks within a comparable CRM system
- Experience with market research & evaluation
- Experience in the architectural, engineering and/or construction (AEC) industry
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and client management skills
- Client-centric attitude and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to handle confidential documents and information with discretion and in a professional manner
- Self-starter with strong multi-tasking, time management and follow-up skills; proactive approach and ability to prioritize
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining consistent workflow and meeting deadlines
- Ability to travel locally, as needed
