Our New Jersey Region, with offices located in Warren - Mount Laurel - Red Bank - Ridgewood, is looking for a Engineering Manager, QA/QC who embodies this purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies elements of project design likely to give rise to disputes, claims or construction issues.
  • Adheres to Bohler QC process for all projects and provides oversight of QC for engineering work.
  • Be a resource for project teams, answer questions, provide one-on-one training and oversight when needed for staff.
  • Work with teams during design to assist with staff development and help staff understand workflow process.
  • Ensures accuracy and correctness of all written work: exhibits, schedules, correspondence, reports, technical drawings.
  • Demonstrates confidence and competence based upon experience, knowledge, and passion for the job at-hand.  
  • Demonstrates an ownership mindset of risks and/or potential risks associated with the client contracts.
  • Practices and enforces “standard of care.”  Adheres to ethics of professional practice and encourages the same among team.
  • Establishes and maintains professional and personal relationships with staff that fosters loyalty, trust, and teamwork to induce and inspire professional growth.
  • Understands, identifies, and assesses development risks for PM.
  • Reinforces the “Core Operating Principles” and the ethics of professional practices.
  • Maximizes “Situational Awareness,” and intellectual strengths to optimize performance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Masters’ Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering fields  
  • PE license preferred
  • 10+ years of residential and/or commercial/industrial site design and jurisdictional permitting experience
  • Experience in civil/site design including:
    • concept site layout
    • subdivision design
    • zoning research and analysis
    • extensive knowledge of site grading
    • storm water management design
    • utility design
    • regulatory permitting experience
    • project management
  • Experience with making public presentations and staff development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
