Bohler continues to grow and expand and we would love for you to join us!  We are searching for someone with an outgoing personality and a knack for developing relationships to join our Permitting team as a Permit Expeditor. 

 

If building relationships with key decision makers is your forte, then this career path will feel familiar, yet uniquely satisfying!  Our permitting team works hand-in-hand with architects, construction firms, developers as well as various agencies across State, County and Local levels. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationship with local government jurisdictions and agencies
  • Represent firm and clients while in the field at various agencies
  • Study, understand and update filing requirements for jurisdictions identified
  • Assist project team with the necessary preparation of various permit submittal packages
  • Submit and monitor progress of applications through the various stages of the approval process
  • Communicate plan examiner comments in a timely manner
  • Attend field meetings as necessary
  • Perform municipal research
  • Maintain data base of critical jurisdictional information
  • Split time between the field and office (roughly 70% field)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 0-2 years’ work experience in a sales or relationship building setting; Permit expediting experience (a plus)
  • Excellent computer, presentation, analytical, advocacy, and communications skills
  • Self-motivated and organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • High energy and assertive curiosity
  • Motivation to learn how to read architectural and engineering plans
  • Work independently of others within teamwork environment
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and able to work in non-office settings
