Responsibilities

  • Positively maintain existing client relationships while building fruitful new connections to drive business
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and office to provide recommendations for expanding and executing on opportunities and leads
  • Leverage Bohler’s existing internal and external resources to foster new relationships and connect the right team members to champion that process
  • Assist Leadership, Teams, and Project Managers on executing practices to enhance existing client relationships
  • Coach and engage Project Managers on business development best practices and provide consultative involving on related projects
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on preparation and executing successful RFP submittals, interviews, and presentations
  • Partner with Project Managers to prevent, address, and resolve client needs and issues
  • Establish and meet ongoing sales goals and metrics
  • Continuously utilize accounting results as well as CRM closes and forecasting to evaluate operation’s existing market sectors to identify market trends. Focus on rise, peak, or decline, and engage leadership for business planning.
  • Collaboratively conduct market research, analyze risks and rewards, and determine if the opportunity aligns with Bohler strengths and experience. Present findings to Leadership for evaluation of probable investment and anticipated timeline to realize positive result.
  • Expand future opportunities by leveraging previous successful client and network relationships. Foster knowledge growth within the market of Firms capabilities, benefits, and services.
  • Attend related industry events and lead networking events.
  • Actively participate with industry organizations to further the Bohler brand
  • Continuously coach and engage staff at all levels to provide unrivaled customer service and identify business opportunities. All staff must always keep an eye out for the next alliance, opportunity, or emerging market, and understand the “why”. Conduct Business Development Training for staff.
  • Proactively maintain CRM data and follow-ups accordingly.
  • Manage growth and learning of Business Development team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Masters’ Degree in Civil Engineering, business or related field
  • 10+ years of land development business experience
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, and client management skills
  • CRM, market research & evaluation, and forecast evaluation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple projects and clients
  • High energy, creative, flexible, self-starter who is willing to work at a dynamic pace and collaborate with others
  • Frequent travel required
