  • Partners with office leadership to develop and implement business development strategies. 
  • Serving in a pre-positioning role, proactively leverages existing network to solicit work and build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities. 
  • Through external engagement and networking, identifies business opportunities by unearthing prospects, following-up on new leads, exploring client referrals, and researching/analyzing options.
  • Identifies and develops relationships with clients, vendors, sub-consultants, associations, and business networks to develop new leads and promote Bohler’s services.
  • Represents Bohler at various networking events, including day, evening, and weekend activities.
  • Assesses potential partners for pursuits or for clients with relationship leverage.
  • Works directly with Regional Director to develop leads, coordinate proposals and presentations in conjunction with the marketing team.
  • Assists the Regional Director with pursuit strategies, to include:
    • Assisting with special projects, internal strategies, and staff development.
    • Encouraging and participating in business and community activities.
    • Serving as a company role model in business and in the community.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.  The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.


  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, English, or related field
  • 8+ years business development or marketing experience in an A/E/C environment preferred
  • High energy, creative, flexible, self-starter who is willing to work at a dynamic pace
  • Preference will be given to local candidates with local connections
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented professional with a desire to simultaneously handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and help develop strategic relationships with clients
  • Proven track record of selling services and maintaining long term client relationships
