  • Responsibilities

    • All phases of field work including: Boundary & Topographical Surveys; Construction Layout; As-Built surveys and utilization of a Robotic Trimble total stations and GPS with Trimble Data Collectors
    • Perform field calculations and sketching
    • Downloading and compilation of field data sketches; and checking raw field data
    • Manage quality control of all survey documents, including field notes, sketches, plans, etc.
    • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of survey field equipment
    • Responsible for company vehicle, cellular phone computer and survey equipment after completion of orientation period
    • Responsible for managing corporate credit card, mileage reimbursements and other related reporting
    • Perform surveys independently as well with a crew
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED required
    • College coursework a plus, including strong math and computer skills
    • 3-5 years’ experience surveying in field utilizing Robotic Total Station with data collectors
    • Preferred equipment: Trimble Robotic Total Station, Trimble Data Collector with Trimble Software
    • Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs
    • Self-motivated, organized, and a good decision maker
    • Willing to travel with possible overnight stays and availability to work overtime
    • Valid Driver’s License required
    • Reliable transportation is required when company provided vehicles are not available (Employees are reimbursed according to applicable IRS regulations when using their personal vehicle on job related assignments)
