  • Responsibilities

    • Project Management/Leadership
      • Initial project scoping, proposal preparation
      • Project development, production planning and execution
      • Staff/resource planning and utilization
      • Coordination/execution of permitting/entitlement approval process
      • Project Closeout through Construction Administration
    • Client Management
      • Meetings, communication/coordination with clients and client representatives
      • Representative of Firm in all client matters
      • Responsible for Client/Firm relationship and Client satisfaction
    • Financial Management
      • Contract/Change Order execution
      • Full P&L responsibility for all Projects under supervision
      • Collection of A/R’s
      • Project & Staff Efficiency evaluations
      • Project profit evaluations
      • All basic Financial Management for all Projects under supervision
    • Staff Experience
      • Staff Performance Evaluation
      • Development and mentoring
      • Sourcing and developing candidates through coordination with Talent Acquisition
    • Business development
      • Attendance at networking functions
      • Business dinners/events
      • Cross marketing with other Bohler offices
    • Maintain presence and leadership in land development service area through involvement in civic, political, professional and business organizations
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Masters’ Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering fields
    • Must be a PE (or licensed professional in related fields)
    • 10+ years of residential and/or commercial/industrial site design and jurisdictional permitting experience with 2+ years in a staff management capacity
    • Experience in civil/site design including:
      • concept site layout
      • subdivision design
      • zoning research and analysis
      • extensive knowledge of site grading
      • storm water management design
      • utility design
      • regulatory permitting experience
      • project management capabilities
      • good delegation skill
    • Experience with making public presentations and client management
    • Proposal preparation, budget tracking and forecasting workloads and staff development
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and able to manage many projects at the same time
