    Bohler Engineering’s Survey team provides the experience and resources to develop efficient and customized solutions for projects of any scale. The team’s impressive project portfolio demonstrates our proven track record of surveying and project coordination for a variety of clients.

     

    As a Survey Manager, you will direct a team of survey professionals working on multiple large-scale projects. This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating operations, including project managers, staff surveyors, technicians, and field operations. In addition, the successful candidate will be involved in business development and sales in the surveying and land development industry.

    Responsibilities

    • Planning, directing, and coordinating operations, including project managers, staff surveyors, technicians, and field operations
    • Personnel management, proposal generation, and business development
    • Manage master contracts including fee estimation, project set-up, and execution of work
    • Prepare work plans, assemble project teams, delegate tasks and ensure compliance with scope and timely completion
    • Prepare client invoices, deliverables, and project-related correspondence
    • Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects
    • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field preferred but not required
    • 10 + years of experience required with a minimum of:
      • 5 years in a personnel management capacity
      • 5 years in a business development capacity
    • Professionally licensed in land surveying in South Carolina and North Carolina or ability to obtain license within 6 months
      • Licensure in other jurisdictions a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven ability to lead staff, think critically, and provide support to multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
    • Ability to prepare and review technical proposals
    • Successfully oversee the production of ALTA, Topographic, Boundary, utility and route survey
