• Senior CAD Designer

  • Responsibilities

    • Design and draft high quality plans from preliminary layouts to detailed design construction documents using CAD software, in accordance with project schedule and company and industry standards
    • Research and obtain standards/codes required by client and jurisdiction to develop above noted plans
    • Use 3rd party applications (AutoTURN, AGI32, MColor, StormCAD, etc.) to generate drawings based on specific project requirements
    • Work closely with the design team to ensure project coordination is maintained
    • Work closely with the CAD manager to assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of CAD standards
    • Provide in-house basic CAD training and mentoring including drafting guidelines and company CAD standards
    • Maintain advanced knowledge of CAD technology
    • Provide in-office support for CAD production users
    • Perform quality control checks


    • Technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter curriculum or equivalent work experience
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • 5+ years of civil design in AutoCAD experience
    • Expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with respect to projects
    • Willingness/ability to assume increased responsibilities when presented the opportunity
    • Ability to work as a team player and interact well with others
    • Ability to produce deliverables with little or no guidance
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
