Responsibilities

  • Assist Permitting Manager with daily responsibilities
  • Monitor status of various applications throughout New York City
  • Coordination / communication with various internal and external project team members
  • Preparation and coordination of necessary applications, fees, and signatures required for submittal
  • Daily coordination with the field team
  • Coordination between permitting department and design teams
  • Scheduling of Appointments, Inspections and other applicable meetings
  • Document archiving utilizing in-house technologies.
  • Management and organization of original documents.
  • Prioritize and multitask as required to meet accelerated schedules or changes in strategy 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, bu not required
  • 3+ years’ experience with New York City Department of Buildings procedures & filings
  • Class 2 Filing Representative preferred, but not required
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Team oriented with excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • High energy and assertive curiosity
  • Experience reading architectural and engineering plans
  • Basic Understanding of New York City Building Code
