Your initial job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Management of the production process to include:
    • Coordinate and manage internal kick-off, milestone and closeout meetings
    • Meeting with clients to outline client’s development objectives and initial project scope
    • Resource planning and management
    • Coordinate permitting approval process
    • Supervise project closeout towards procurement of the building permit
  • Site Investigations & Due Diligence, including the review of ordinances, utility service research, outside agency regulations and site visits to establish comprehensive development guidelines
  • Preparation of concept drawings based upon client’s development objectives and conclusions of due diligence
  • Preparation of construction cost estimates
  • Project coordination to include consulting with client, attorney, project team and Bohler affiliates for the purpose of preparing comprehensive site plan applications
  • Preparation of written correspondence with outside agencies, clients, attorneys, contractors, and others
  • Staff development and mentoring
  • Business development which involves attendance at marketing functions, business dinners/events, and cross marketing with other Bohler offices
  • Proposal preparation
  • Collection of A/R’s, efficiency evaluations, profit evaluations and financial management of your projects
  • Other duties as assigned


The successful candidate will have:

  • BS in Civil Engineering and active PE license
  • 10+ years of experience (10+ years of experience in civil site design and project management with  2+ years in a staff management capacity)
  • Experience in civil/site design including:
    • concept site layout
    • subdivision design
    • zoning research and analysis
    • extensive knowledge of site grading
    • storm water management design
    • utility design
    • regulatory permitting experience
    • project management capabilities
    • good delegation skill
  • Experience with making public presentations and client management
  • Proposal preparation, budget tracking and forecasting workloads and staff development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and able to manage many projects at the same time
